Recycling Programs

Please help us recycle paper!

Drop off your paper and help earn $ for the MPES Green Team!

· Paper may be dropped off directly in the SP bin in the car loop.

· Acceptable items for paper recycling include:

o White or Colored Paper (staples are okay)

o All types of paper including loose leaf paper, construction paper, notepad paper or any carbonless paper

o Shredded paper

o Junk mail, Newspapers, Magazines or catalogs

o Paper envelopes- no lining/no windows

o Paper folders

o Paper bags

o Paper Envelopes

· Phone books and corrugated cardboard CANNOT go into the SP Recycling bin (the school uses another bin for that).

· Please NO tissue, paper towels, napkins, shiny boxes (like cereal or cracker boxes), or shiny paper bags.

Encourage Your Children To Recycle Commingling at School!

We have blue 95-gallon commingling recycling bins just outside the cafeteria and small blue tote size bins in each classroom. Every container must be EMPTY before it is recycled. We have a DRINK IT AND SINK IT policy!!! Here are the items that can be recycled:

o Plastic bottles with the recycling symbol on the bottom (all numbers)

o Milk cartons and juice boxes and cartons (NO straws)

o Plastic containers with the recycling symbol on the bottom such as applesauce and yogurt containers (all numbers)- plastic peeled off the top

o "Lunchables" containers- paper peeled off bottom

o Aluminum cans or foil with no food or napkins inside

o Glass

· Please NO food/liquids, straws, Styrofoam, drink pouches, or paper items!
